Itinerary

DAY 1: NAIROBI – MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Your safari begins with a departure from Nairobi towards the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy a scenic stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you can admire the spectacular landscape and take photographs before continuing through the countryside towards the Mara. Arrive in time for lunch and check-in at the camp. In the afternoon, enjoy a cultural visit to a traditional Maasai village. Meet members of the community and learn about their customs, traditions, pastoral lifestyle, clothing, livestock keeping, and daily life. Visit traditional manyattas, see how Maasai houses are constructed, and discover traditional skills such as fire-making and beadwork. You will also have an opportunity to interact with Maasai warriors, elders, and women while enjoying traditional songs and the famous Maasai jumping dance. After the cultural experience, return to camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: FULL DAY MASAI MARA SAFARI

Rise early for an optional sunrise hot air balloon experience over the Masai Mara. After the balloon flight, enjoy breakfast in the bush before joining the group for a full day of wildlife exploration. Spend the day discovering the expansive savannah plains of the reserve, home to an impressive variety of wildlife. Keep watch for elephants, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, warthogs, buffaloes, hyenas, jackals, and many other species. The Mara is also renowned for its large predators, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Continue towards the Mara River, where you may encounter hippos and large Nile crocodiles. Enjoy your packed lunch near the river before continuing with the afternoon game drive. Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: MASAI MARA – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, leave the Mara and travel towards Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way, enjoy views of the Great Rift Valley, Mount Longonot, and Lake Naivasha. An optional boat ride on Lake Naivasha is available at an additional cost of USD 20 per person. Continue to Lake Nakuru, arriving in time for lunch followed by a game drive. Explore this scenic park, renowned for its rhino sanctuary, diverse birdlife, and opportunities to spot both black and white rhinos. You may also encounter Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, zebras, and other wildlife before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: LAKE NAKURU – AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Start the morning with breakfast before heading into Lake Nakuru National Park for further wildlife viewing. The park is home to more than 350 bird species, including greater and lesser flamingos, pelicans, egrets, plovers, and marabou storks. Wildlife sightings can include black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, zebras, antelopes, buffaloes, and other animals. After the game drive, depart for Amboseli with lunch served en route. Continue through the scenic countryside and arrive in Amboseli during the afternoon. As you approach the park, look out for elephants roaming across the plains, with the magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro providing a spectacular backdrop when weather conditions are favorable. Check in at camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: FULL DAY AMBOSELI SAFARI

Spend the entire day exploring Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most rewarding wildlife destinations. Drive across the park’s open plains and marshlands in search of large elephant herds, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and other wildlife.Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive while taking in the beautiful surroundings. Continue exploring the park throughout the afternoon before returning to camp in the evening.

DAY 6: AMBOSELI – NAIROBI – WATAMU

Wake up early for a final morning game drive in Amboseli National Park. This provides another opportunity to enjoy the wildlife and capture photographs before leaving the park. Return to camp for a full breakfast, then begin the drive to Nairobi. Lunch will be served en route. Upon arrival in Nairobi, transfer to the airport for your flight to Watamu. On arrival, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your beach hotel. Spend the remainder of the afternoon relaxing at the resort and enjoying the beautiful coastal surroundings. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 7: FULL DAY WATAMU EXCURSION

After breakfast, meet your guide and set out to discover some of the highlights around Watamu. Visit the historic Gedi Ruins, the remains of an ancient Swahili settlement surrounded by lush coastal forest. Explore the fascinating ruins while learning about the history of this once-thriving settlement. Continue to Hell’s Kitchen, a remarkable natural attraction featuring dramatic sandstone formations, colorful landscapes, deep gullies, and unusual geological features. After the excursion, return to Visiwa Beach Resort and spend the evening relaxing.

DAY 8: WATAMU – NAIROBI
